Mammogram:

A mammogram is an X-ray image of your breasts. It can be used either for breast cancer screening or for diagnostic purposes, such as to investigate symptoms or unusual findings on another imaging test.

Beginning at age 40, it is recommended to have a mammogram performed annually, unless otherwise recommended by your provider.

DEXA Screening:

A DEXA scan is an imaging test that measures bone density (strength). DEXA scan results can provide helpful details about your risk for osteoporosis (bone loss) and fractures (bone breaks). This test can also measure your body composition, such as body fat and muscle mass.

Recommended at age 65 and then every 5 years, unless recommended by your provider.
