Committed to keeping Harlan County healthy

How we’ve kept Harlan County healthy since 1951:

Harlan County Health System is a licensed acute care Critical Access Hospital, which means we must offer a full range of services to our community and region.

Services provided by HCHS include a 24-hour emergency room; radiology, including a CT scanner for detailed imaging of soft tissue; rehabilitation, including occupational, speech and physical therapy; swing bed/skilled nursing services; an intensive care suite; a full laboratory; a state-of-the-art pharmacy; and a modern operating room. Social services are available to help our patients resolve personal problems that may interfere with their return to health. To help patients live independently at home, we offer the Lifeline service, which connects you to help at the push of a button.

We take our job seriously at HCHS, and we have the facility, staff and equipment to deal with emergencies and routine healthcare alike. Since 1951, we’ve been keeping Harlan County healthy and we will always continue to do so.
